The Somerset Scoop / Tools

What's being built near you.

158 pending and recent applications across Somerset County's 21 towns, tracked through 33-34 separate land-use bodies -- most towns here run their own Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment rather than one combined board. Pick your town to see what's in front of the board, and check which towns have banned data centers, which are urging their councils to, and which are capping warehouse size instead.

79 of 158 items have a confirmed address precise enough to map; the rest are listed below with no pin -- either the record is block-and-lot only, or the location wasn't precise enough to plot honestly (we don't pin a parcel-sized guess to a campus-sized parcel). Pulled from county and township land-use board agendas, minutes, and resolutions. Status changes fast -- the source link on every item is the actual agenda or notice, always the better authority than this page.

Where each town stands on data centers and warehouses

3 towns have adopted an outright data-center ban, 2 have a Planning Board on record urging their council to pass one, Franklin has capped new warehouse size instead of banning data centers, and Hillsborough rejects oversized proposals case by case without a codified cap. Everything else below is "none known" -- meaning nothing surfaced in this research, not that nothing is happening.
